Das Hohe Lied Salomonis: Ein Singspiel Ueber Den Zustand Der Kirche Gottes Von Den Zeiten Davids Bis Ans Ende Der Welt, Oder Das Jüdische Und Christliche Jerusalem In Prophetischen Sinnbildern Entworfen, Aus Uebereinstimmenden Stellen Der Hl. Schrift by Johann A. Lederer presents a dramatic interpretation of the Song of Solomon. This work explores the allegorical relationship between the Jewish and Christian Jerusalems through prophetic symbols drawn from scripture. The singspiel, or musical drama, uses the biblical text as a foundation to comment on the state of the church from the time of David to the end of the world.
Lederer's work offers a unique perspective on biblical interpretation, blending theological insights with dramatic presentation. It remains a significant example of religious drama and allegorical exploration within a historical context.
