WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE IF YOU WERE A MORTAL?
Apollo, in Greek mythology, is shot by a golden arrow, causing him to fall madly for Daphne. Tragically, Daphne is struck with a lead arrow, preventing her from loving Apollo. Apollo can't help pursuing Daphne, while Daphne can't help resisting him. Daphne's father ends the chase by turning Daphne into a laurel tree.
This novel starts with Daphne's father liberating Daphne from her confinement. She transforms into Perseus, a student at an elite school in Macedonia. Unbeknownst to Daphne, Apollo discovers her plans, and also takes the form of a student.
Apollo's assumed identity is a mystery, not even the gods know. Apollo, under the guise of his new persona, exudes qualities that might entice Daphne, but alas, she cannot love him, she is still cursed by that lead arrow. Or is she?
