When Eden Morrow receives a mysterious inheritance letter written in liquid silver ink, she discovers that twenty-seven years of careful, colorless existence have been preparation for something extraordinary-and dangerous.
Living paycheck to paycheck in a cramped New York apartment, Eden has trained herself to expect nothing extraordinary. But the letter that arrives without explanation changes everything, awakening abilities she never knew she possessed and drawing her to Ravenshollow Estate-a Gothic manor that exists partially outside normal reality.
There she meets Kade Virelli, her assigned guardian whose storm-grey eyes hold centuries of secrets and whose very presence makes her skin flush with heat she's never experienced. He's meant to guide her magical awakening, but the connection between them transcends duty, becoming something that operates according to hungers neither of them fully understands.
But awakening comes with a price-and Eden's growing power brings an appetite that threatens to consume everything she touches.
As Eden learns to wield magic that reshapes reality itself, she discovers that her inheritance isn't just about power-it's about joining an ancient conflict between forces that view consciousness as a resource to be harvested. The Council of Shadows wants to control her abilities. Collectors seek to claim her as a prized addition to their living museums. And somewhere in the spaces between dimensions, entities that have consumed entire realities are taking notice of her rapid evolution.
Each victory feeds a hunger that grows stronger rather than satisfied. Each connection deepens cravings that push the boundaries of what love and transcendence can contain.
Eden must learn to navigate a world where:
- Magic operates according to principles of desire and consumption
- Every relationship becomes a question of enhancement versus preservation
- Love itself might be the ultimate form of claiming possession
- The line between savior and predator depends entirely on perspective
When the Underground resistance offers alliance against institutional oppression, when cosmic entities propose transcendence beyond human comprehension, when the man she loves becomes both anchor and addiction, Eden faces an impossible choice:
Embrace the hunger that could make her powerful enough to reshape magical society according to her vision-or find ways to love and lead without consuming everything that makes such love meaningful.
CRAVE ME is the first book in The Obsession Trilogy, a dark paranormal romance series that explores themes of power, transcendence, and the thin line between enhancement and consumption. Perfect for readers who enjoyed the complexity of Sarah J. Maas's adult fantasy and the psychological depth of dark academia, but with a mature exploration of how desire itself becomes a form of magic.
Content warnings: This book contains mature themes including consciousness manipulation, psychological complexity around consent and agency, intense magical/supernatural elements, and adult romantic content. Recommended for readers 18+.
The trilogy continues with CLAIM ME (Book Two) and CONSUME ME (Book Three), following Eden's journey as her hunger evolves from personal awakening to cosmic transcendence.
