Candice Carter, Brittany, and Kaya have been friends since middle school. The streets of Brooklyn were tough, forcing them to play the cards that they were dealt; in any and every way. Despite differences in opinion from clothes to men, they manage to stay true to their friendship and the Covah Gurl bond. Candice Carter always dreamed of being larger than life. However, living life in the fast lane is starting to make her question whether she can actually fulfill her dreams. She's always been a female player of sorts, so juggling men was never a problem; that is until she met L.C., the flashiest drug boss in Cleveland. He steals her heart unexpectedly; making their long distance relationship up close and personal. Candice will have to choose between her reckless lifestyle or risk it all on L.C.'s unguaranteed love. Either way her life will be forever changed. Brittany has an eye for the finer things in life. But so far stripping, and dealing with tricks hasn't been enough to feed her hungry appetite. She finds a new hustle that brings in the type of money dreams are made of. As she enjoys the fruits of her labor, someone plots to take her spot; leaving Brittany to flirt with danger, and knock on deaths door. Kaya can't help but to go to the top, after being at the bottom for so long. She uses her book smarts to succeed in the streets. Cruising through college Kaya let's nothing distract her, until Kenan comes along. Kenan's the exact opposite of Kaya, but little does she know they have quite a bit in common. Someone Kenan adores caused Kaya a tremendous amount of pain. Will their relationship overcome Kaya's haunted past.
