Peter tells the reader early on that he is suffering from mental illness, and he is not the most reliable narrator. Aside from that, he has a lot of growing up to do.Joined by physics students Allie (his old crush) and David (his old nemesis), Peter attempts to ferry Allie from Florida to California so she can prove her great discovery to the world. Unfortunately, her violation of the inter-dimensional order has drawn the attention of beings that monitor for such violations, if you believe in that sort of thing, and Peter still isn't sure he does either.
