A friend introduced me to the amazing and at first, frustrating, iPad2, and in particular to a small free app called Clockwork Notebook. This book is the first tangible result of my experiments. The Clockwork Notebook allows photos, finger drawings & paintings, and text. I have been long attracted to short, lyrical forms. The Japanese haiku, either in its strict syllabic form or in its more common English three-line free-style, becomes in English form the sonnet in all its variations. I'm getting older, and more adventurous, if not more skilled. I'm determined to enjoy myself, and hope to amuse the reader as well. In other words, these poems and color drawings are for fun.
