The great poems of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the 19th century American romantic poet, have been translated into many languages and enjoyed worldwide fame. Many of the poems have been translated into Chinese. I have translated 72 classics from his vast works to Chinese, so that readers might learn more about the poet's thoughts from another angle and better appreciate his great works.The seventy-two poems that I have translated are selected from different collections of poems published in different periods of the poet's life, the period from 1825 to 1893 almost covering the whole life of the poet.
