A: It's a concert, not a goat. Folks across a variety of music scenes in Costa Rica use the word chivo when referring to concerts. It's sometimes connotated as for smaller, more community-oriented concerts, but can be used for big ones, too.

A: Depends who you ask. Occasionally, you'll come across lore about inherited traditions of slaughtering a goat at parties. Most folks say they don't know.
