Chevalier Au Lyon, also known as Yvain, the Knight of the Lion, is a medieval romance written in Old French by Chrétien de Troyes in the late 12th century. This edition, edited by Wilhelm Ludwig Holland, presents the text in its original language. The story follows the adventures of Yvain, one of the Knights of the Round Table, as he seeks to regain his honor and prove his worth after breaking a promise to his wife.
