Champagne Thoughts & Lipstick Words presents a collection of verse exploring the layers of emotion typically underscoring the human condition. Based largely on Boudreau's view that 'Life is one big interpretation, ' she considers the people and events that have influenced her perspective over time. Along the way she touches on diverse challenges one might find in a sometimes-uncertain modern society. Much of Boudreau's work finds a speaker seemingly in the midst of introspection. Although many of the reflections from Champagne Thoughts & Lipstick Words delve into comparatively darker aspects of being, Boudreau moves to inject a measure of hope in some selections. Overall her offering is designed to mark phases of her own journey as well as provoke thought for the reader who may be following a parallel course.
