Fighting depression and alcoholism after a costly screw up on a New Business account, an advertising executive attempts to strike back at those that wronged him. David Hobbs summons the rage and fury he once felt as a young man. He recognizes that while climbing the corporate ladder, he sold his soul and abandoned his ideals. David's revolution is short-lived. Amidst the backdrop of an ecological summit in Chicago, eco-terrorists carry out bombings in protest. David is kidnapped, sort of, by these terrorists and is forced to help them by using his talents as an accomplished sailor. Threatening David's transformation is an ex-surfer named Will that has been poisoned by a greeting card company that leaked dye into his favorite surfing spot. Will is determined to destroy those in the world that caused him pain. Unsatisfied, Will roams the world with a homicidal bloodlust and will not cease until all of humanity is suffering as he is, or dead, on a dead planet. Flashbacks to David's past reveal his love affair with one of the eco-terrorists' former members and how he's always felt he could be of greater consequence to the world, but that he's never believed in himself. His love for this woman once opened his cold eyes to the world. David begins his renewal by taking up his fight for the environment in more ways than just protests. It is a story of one man's attempt at salvaging a life and how he goes about finding the woman that he loves. To do that he first must defeat his captors, and his inner demons.
