In 1962, in the small timber town of Russell's Mill in Western Australia's south-west, close friends, Leah and Susannah, dream of escaping to a new life on the other side of Australia.

But they never planned on falling in love with the same man.

As Denny, a charming drifter working at the mill, captures both their hearts, friendships are tested, and futures become uncertain. Meanwhile, Evan, a loyal school friend with feelings of his own, hopes one of them might choose to stay.
