Cassandra's Story by Scarlet Morris tells the tale of a beautiful woman named Cassie who faces a battle in choosing between her first love and one true love.
Although Cassie is happy with the life she has made with her military husband, when he is shipped off to Afghanistan, she winds up in the hospital after an accident.
A man whom she'd thought she'd never see again, a man who was also her first love, shows up to her rescue and reignites a fire in her loins that she thought was long gone. Though pregnant with her husband's child, Cassie cannot deny the feelings she still has for her first love.
Soon after learning the good news, Cassie is recovering under the care of her former lover. She learns that her husband's military base was attacked and he is now MIA. The overwhelming stress throws her into the arms of her former lover and they share a night of reignited passion.
Afterward, though, Cassie is torn, as she learns that her husband may still be alive and may even be coming home...
