Cynewulf's Christ is an epic poem written in Old English during the eighth century. The poem tells the story of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, beginning with his birth and ending with his resurrection. The author, Cynewulf, is not known for certain, but is thought to have been a monk or cleric living in Anglo-Saxon England. The poem is divided into four parts, each focusing on a different aspect of Christ's life and ministry. The first part describes the nativity and childhood of Jesus, while the second part focuses on his teachings and miracles. The third part deals with his passion and death, and the fourth part relates his resurrection and ascension. Throughout the poem, Cynewulf uses vivid imagery and rich language to bring the story of Christ to life.
