The Curious Cousins know that as brave heroes they can go just about anywhere outdoors, and as truth-seekers can choose to be just about anything.

In this magical adventure, they get help from the local South African community - a friendly fever tree, wised-up weaver birds, ambulatory ants, a scruffy secretary bird, a brawny dung beetle, a speedy shongololo, a cranky-legs spider, a dazzling dragonfly, and learn about the intuitive meaning of Ubuntu - I am who I am only because of who we are together.

A delightful blend of information and imagination ... this charming picture book is a feast for the eyes and ears. It would make a great read-aloud or bedtime story ... for its target audience of three to eleven year-olds. 4/5 Kristine, Reedsy.

This story includes a little magic, some time travel, humour, and adventure. African creatures, plants, and culture. The audiobook includes some delightful animal sound effects and the Zulu 'heppy' birthday song.

There is nothing I didn't like about this book. It was well-written and exceptionally edited. The author wrote an incredible story, and the designs and paintings are perfect for a child with an inquisitive mind. 5/5 Eunice, OnLineBookClub.
