Blockchain and cryptocurrency continue striving toward true decentralization and trustlessness, though reality still lags behind these ideals.
Bitcoin, built on digital scarcity, has become digital gold and attracts institutional interest as both a medium of exchange and collateral. Yet without sustained price appreciation, its long-term network sustainability is uncertain. This pressure fuels exaggerated value predictions, while scalability limits and doubts about trustless systems raise questions about Bitcoin's future.
Bitcoin, built on digital scarcity, has become digital gold and attracts institutional interest as both a medium of exchange and collateral. Yet without sustained price appreciation, its long-term network sustainability is uncertain. This pressure fuels exaggerated value predictions, while scalability limits and doubts about trustless systems raise questions about Bitcoin's future.
Ethereum takes a different path, emphasizing technical upgrades and its expanding role in stablecoins, DeFi, and tokenized assets. In this context, Vitalik Buterin stresses that true decentralization and trustlessness require more people to understand the Ethereum protocol end-to-end. However, as technology evolves, protocols inevitably grow more complex-creating a paradox in which complexity both challenges and enables decentralization.
Vitalik argues that education and accessible documentation are essential for empowering users. This belief is the foundation of Crypto Times. Each month, we explore key questions such as:
Where are blockchain and crypto innovations today, and what direction are they heading?
When will stablecoins achieve mainstream adoption?
How is DeFi reshaping traditional finance?
How far have tokenized assets spread, and can they become a dominant asset class?
What progress is being made in NFTs, DAOs, DIDs, and blockchain gaming?
These topics should not remain exclusive to experts. I have long followed and engaged with leaders like Vitalik Buterin, Michael Saylor, Tom Lee, and members of the Ethereum Foundation on Twitter-commenting and debating in real time. Over time, I felt the need to organize and share these insights more systematically, which led to the creation of Crypto Times.

Each month, Crypto Times analyzes and interprets influential posts and tweets from key figures in the blockchain space. Our goal is to help readers understand major developments and form their own informed perspectives.
Beginning with the inaugural December 2025 issue, Crypto Times will document the evolution of blockchain and crypto-one issue at a time, like blocks added to a chain.
