Crusing Toward Heaven...Navigating from Rough Seas to Miraculous Adventures
Have you ever struggled with alcohol, drugs...or God? Perhaps you've made choices influenced by alcohol, drugs, or your confusion about God's role in your life, that proved to be tremendously painful learning experiences. Do youever look back and ask yourself, How am I still alive? If so, you're not alone.
Author Rob Ekno spent 17 years during his battle with alcohol and drugs before having his last drink and drug on November 28, 1992. He then went on to spend significantly more time bargaining back and forth in his relationship with God.
One Sunday morning at age 10 (while serving as an acoloyte at his hometown church), Rob stole two dollars out of the collection plate. The trooubling legacy of that single act had Rob beleiving that God had punished him with the brutal suffering of the life of drug and alcohol addiction that he was living. Rob became so mired in anguish that one day he devised a plan to end his life of misery. But due to a miraculous intervention, Rob is alive today to share about his path from honor to hope. The tragedy of Rob's former choices has now become a trajectory that is guided by God--and pursued by Rob with a renewed purpose in this world--while Cruising Toward Heaven.
Rob Ekno is a seasoned TV and radio host, producer, Alaskan adventurer, speaker, author, and winner of two awrds from the Associated Press.
