A Crown of Tribulation: Being Meditations on the Seven Sorrows of Our Blessed Lady Mary is a book written by Elizabeth Parker and first published in 1920. The book focuses on the seven sorrows of the Virgin Mary, namely the prophecy of Simeon, the flight into Egypt, the loss of the child Jesus in the temple, the meeting of Mary and Jesus on the way to Calvary, the crucifixion of Jesus, the taking down of the body of Jesus from the cross, and the burial of Jesus. The book offers meditations on each of these sorrows, providing readers with a deeper understanding of the emotional and spiritual journey of Mary as she experienced these difficult moments in her life. The author's writing style is contemplative and reflective, encouraging readers to reflect on their own lives and the role of suffering in the Christian faith. Overall, A Crown of Tribulation is a powerful and insightful book that offers a unique perspective on the life of Mary and the importance of suffering in the Christian faith. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
