The Cree Hymn Book (1888) is a collection of Christian hymns translated into the Cree language by John McDougall. McDougall was a Presbyterian missionary who worked among the Cree people in western Canada during the late 19th century. The book contains hymns for various occasions, including worship services, funerals, and weddings. The hymns are accompanied by musical notation, and the book includes an introduction in both English and Cree. The Cree Hymn Book is a valuable resource for scholars of indigenous languages and cultures, as well as for those interested in the history of Christian missions in Canada. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
