The Conversion of Armenia to the Christian Faith is a historical account of the spread of Christianity in Armenia, written by William St. Clair Tisdall in 1897. The book explores the early history of Armenia and the influence of various religions on its people, including Zoroastrianism, Mithraism, and Christianity. Tisdall provides a detailed account of the conversion of King Tiridates III to Christianity in the early fourth century, and the subsequent spread of the faith throughout Armenia. The book also examines the role of St. Gregory the Illuminator in the conversion of the country, as well as the development of the Armenian Church and its relationship with the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Tisdall's work draws on a variety of sources, including ancient texts, historical documents, and personal accounts, to provide a comprehensive and engaging account of the Christianization of Armenia. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Christianity, the spread of religion, and the cultural and political history of Armenia. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
