As part of this research, we collected data using an interview guide for headteachers, a questionnaire for teachers, and a pupil information form also completed by teachers at traditional schools and schools using the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC) approach. The overall findings show that APC schools using the national languages do not perform better than traditional schools, and that the amount of training received and the possession of a teaching guide by teachers have a positive impact on the results of pupils in schools following the competency-based curriculum.
