It also delves into the themes of love, loyalty, and betrayal. Rachel falls in love with a man named Mark Lennan, who is also involved in the suffragette movement. However, their relationship is put to the test when Mark is accused of betraying the cause. As Rachel tries to clear Mark's name, she uncovers a web of lies and deceit that threatens to destroy everything she has worked for.
