The Collusion of Sindayet and Arloroth takes place in the early age of Beneveth, when the demigods known as the Imyraiwae governed the realm from the Hall of Dalangan and guided the Houses of men. Among the western Houses lived Arloroth, the last descendant of Gambutid, whose life became defined by loss and by a request for renewal that the divine court refused.
After this denial Arloroth came into contact with Sindayet, the demigod who perceives the movement of time. Their conversations began quietly but gradually influenced the direction of the realm, shaping new ideas about will, responsibility, and the role of the divine.
As tensions grew between the Houses of the east and west, the consequences of those decisions spread beyond any one life. What began as a question of justice soon became something larger. By the time the stars themselves were drawn into the matter, the fate of Beneveth had already begun to change.
