Collection of my life experiences is a story I have shared in bits with guests who at one time or the other have visited with us.
It is about my journey, starting from when I was born in the university town of Zaria in Northern Nigeria.
Somehow, the fortunes of my parents changed shortly after I was born, so I heard from grown-up whispers, but my mother always made me feel very special, she always praised my intellect, wisdom, poise and demeanor which see summarized as Pre, a short form of my name Precious, you can live, stay and co-exist anywhere with any type of persons
When I realized all her efforts to survive and train us her four surviving children, two had passed on, an elder brother and a younger sister, I promised myself never to disappoint her.
When life's journey started its twists and turns, starting from my realization that there all kinds of factors that would lead to attaining one's goal each milestone other that personal ability and intellect, I was thrown aback by the manipulations occurring in the world of adults.
When my mother passed away November 30, 1979 my life kind of came to a halt. I lost my zeal and ambition for success, Afterall, I was working hard to make my mother proud, now she is gone.
When I decided to fill the emptiness of my life by starting my own family, I threw myself to ensuring my family is all and all to me. I still do today.
This book is in memory of my mother, Felicia Olueme Coker, who gave her all to ensure I not only survive, but excel in my journey of life.
This story highlights actual real-life obstacles that in African parlance will be referred to as home trouble that dogged every of my moves to succeed in life.
My strong believe in God and the power of prayers made it possible for me to free myself and my family from all the vicissitudes of life, and to arrive at our promised land, Canada.
For all those who are down cast, believing that it is too late for them to succeed, or it is too late to make very bold moves to change their station in life, this book is for you, read it and be motivated.
For those of you still holding unto pain and the loss of a loved one, read this book and draw inspiration, and the need to find a greater purpose in life to fill that void.
