An Exciting STEM Adventure in the Sky
When Colin boards a plane for a trip to Zimbabwe, he expects an ordinary flight. Instead, the journey becomes an engaging STEM adventure. With Ambuya and Baba as his guides, Colin discovers how airplanes fly, what happens when jets travel faster than sound, and how NASA engineers are developing quieter supersonic aircraft such as the X-59.
As Colin explores lift, thrust, sound waves, and aerodynamics, readers see that science is not limited to the classroom. It is part of the world around them every day.
This book is ideal for curious kids who love airplanes, engineering, NASA, and asking big questions.
