This is a Idaho history book about eight Nebraska families who, in 1915, packed their children, furniture and animals into rail cars and headed to southern Idaho where electricity, irrigation, and fields of clover promised a new and better live. Their journey was not without challenges, but challenges were nothing new to these German emigrants who had already established their legacy in the Midwest.
