The Closing Years of Dean Swift's Life: With Remarks on Stella and on Some of His Writings Hitherto Unnoticed is a book written by W.R. Wilde that provides a detailed account of the final years of Jonathan Swift, an Anglo-Irish satirist and essayist. The book delves into Swift's personal life, including his relationship with Esther Johnson (Stella), whom he met when she was just eight years old, and who remained his companion until her death. The author also sheds light on some of Swift's lesser-known writings, which have not received much attention from scholars. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the life and works of Jonathan Swift, as well as for those interested in the literary and cultural history of 18th-century Ireland. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
