Esther's poems are about love and about feelings that arise when you are in love, when you love someone, when you're intimate with your loved one. Her poems raise questions such as: how do you maintain your own identity in a relationship, why are people often so demanding when it comes to love, why are we sometimes too afraid to express our feelings? The author tries to make the reader think about topics related to love, sex, prejudice about sexual orientation, prejudices of men and women about each other, but she also tries to clarify the importance of setting your own limits and what can happen if these limits are exceeded. Some of the writer's poems are autobiographical, some are inspired by the experiences of young people with whom she has worked. According to Esther, some of her poems are suitable to use as a starting point in conversations and discussions on the above topics. For example, the poems could be used in conversations with teenagers and young people.
