On September 6, 2001, Edward Donohue stood before Lehman Brothers' senior leadership and warned that the Firm was unprepared for a major business disruption. His proposal to strengthen business continuity planning was tabled for future consideration.
Five days later, American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
As the executive responsible for Lehman's Business Continuity Planning and Corporate Security functions, Donohue found himself at the center of one of the most consequential events in modern history.
