The Climatic Treatment of Consumption: A Contribution to Medical Climatology is a book written by James Alexander Lindsay in 1887. The book discusses the treatment of tuberculosis, or consumption as it was commonly called in the 19th century, through the use of climate. Lindsay examines various climates and their effects on the disease, including dry and moist climates, high and low altitudes, and different temperatures. He also discusses the benefits of sea voyages and the use of sanatoriums for treatment. The book provides a comprehensive overview of the medical understanding of tuberculosis in the late 19th century and the various treatments available at the time. It is a valuable resource for those interested in the history of medicine and the treatment of tuberculosis. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
