The Civil Service Faithful Service Medal in Gold was founded on the 30th of January 1938, as a reward civilians in the employ of the public services for 40 year or more of faithful service. The awarded is a gold cross, with gold wreath and a black enameled swastika in the center of the cross. The reverse of the cross was stamped with 'F r Treue Dienst'. The ribbon for the medal is cornflower blue.
