This book is written with the intention of clarifying various opinions and teachings that have surfaced in the last generation of Americans about the founding fathers intentions in our self-governance as a nation and God's involvement in the process of this great American experiment. Our educational system has taken the liberty of re-interpreting the founders original intention about the church's involvement in our governing process. They claim President Jefferson had the resolve that the church has no place in the affairs of men in governing everyday life. However, Jefferson was reacting to the affairs of the church of Rome and its hold on the monarchies of Europe. Our founders never wanted this for America. In saying that, they always adhered to freedom from religious influence over the government especially a state sponsored one. They never expected religion to remain on the sidelines of governing especially when God influences the hearts of men.
