Can one tiny chupacabras outsmart the biggest, bossiest inspectors in town?

When Chupie, a young chupacabras, loses his forest home in Quetzalia to big machines, he sets off on a brave journey north. Across rivers, through jungles, and even through a tiny hole in a very big wall.

On the other side, Chupie discovers El Barrio: a colorful neighborhood full of creatures who came from far away too. There's Doña Lechuza the baker owl, Don Zorro the bicycle fixer, and the wildly colorful Alebrijes who paint murals on every wall.

But when three bumbling Inspectors of Creature Enforcement march into town looking for unauthorized creatures, Chupie and the whole neighborhood team up for the funniest, cleverest escape plan you've ever seen, involving newspapers, empanadas, a fake tunnel, and one very tiny chef's hat.

A heartwarming and hilarious bilingual story about a young chupacabras who learns that home isn't a place you come from, home is the people who love you.

El hogar no es el lugar de donde vienes. El hogar son las personas que te quieren.
