This volume presents the oration delivered by Christoph von Stadion, Bishop of Augsburg, at a synod held in 1518. Titled Christophori A Stadion Episcopi Qvondam Avgvstani Oratio In Synodo Ad Clervm, the work offers insights into the religious and ecclesiastical concerns of the era. The book also includes a commentary on matters related to Christoph, providing additional historical context.
This speech offers valuable primary source material for scholars interested in the history of the Church during the early Renaissance and the challenges it faced.
