Nicholas Stick is an orphan, growing up in the worst of conditions. Every day he is sent to the workhouse and then served food that tastes worse than boiled cabbage!

When Nic gets into trouble he is sent to the Master's office, where he happens to stumble upon a small bowl of sweets. He decides that he has nothing to lose, and surely taking one little sweet won't make much of a difference now, will it?

With no good ever coming from stealing sweets, Nicholas finds himself on a daring adventure. Determined to help all the orphans as he decides to become The Christmas Sweet Thief.

Stealing a lot of sweets can only mean one thing... a lot of trouble.

From the Master's office to Mr. Hanley's sweet shop, between Macky Manor and many other fantastical places, join Nic and his friends on a festive journey across the streets of London with a host of amazing characters to find sweets, treats, laughter and life.
