Through the magical powers of a water globe, Eden Salina, a modern day New Yorker, discovers she can time travel. She wakes up in a hut in Zanzibar, 2022 years back in time. The Clanspeople have never seen hair the color of corn silk or eyes as blue as the Indian Ocean. They deem her the Spirit Walker of the Clan. Not everyone believes she is good and pure. A Clansman tries to convince the others she was sent by demonic spirits.
Eden meets three Wise Men who forever change her life. Yallowahii, Chieftain of the Heart Clan, gentle Bale who becomes her best friend and King Bursala of Uganda who falls hopelessly in love with her. Bale and King Bursala try to find the passageway to her native homeland. Yallowahii is the only one who knows her truth as they witness the miracle of the first Christmas.
