Barrett doesn't have much himself, being a homeless vet who's fallen on hard times, but he's willing to help however he can. Jones seems to be lost, more than a little naïve, and maybe a bit crazy, but he's the last one to judge. He feels protective of her, and he could use some of that Christmas magic himself.

Feelings are new to Jones, especially one in particular. And when she thinks she may lose Barrett for good, she must do what it takes to save him as he saved her.
