Christianity Is Basic: The Foundation
What if following Jesus isn't about doing more but returning to the foundation He already laid?
In a world filled with conflicting opinions, denominational differences, and cultural interpretations of Christianity, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Christianity Is Basic: The Foundation invites you to set aside assumptions and return to the one unchanging source of truth: the Word of God.
This book is not about religion, traditions, or popular Christian culture. It is about Jesus Christ.
Beginning with the greatest commandment to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength this book explores why love is the true foundation of the Christian life and why every act of obedience flows from it. Through Scripture studied in context, readers are challenged to move beyond simply identifying as a Christian and begin living as a disciple of Christ.
Inside you'll discover:
- Why loving God is the first step of discipleship.
- Why love and the fear of the Lord are not opposites, but work together.
- Why we still struggle with sin even after coming to Christ.
- How Jesus fulfills the entire biblical story from Genesis to Revelation.
- How to understand Scripture by letting Scripture interpret Scripture.
- How God speaks through His Word and why context matters.
- What it truly means to hear Christ's invitation: Come and follow Me.
Whether you are new to the faith, returning after years away, healing from church hurt, or simply longing to know Jesus more deeply, this book will help you build your life upon the only foundation that cannot be shaken.
Rather than offering opinions or denominational arguments, Christianity Is Basic: The Foundation encourages readers to search the Scriptures for themselves, allowing God's Word to shape their understanding of who Jesus is and what it truly means to follow Him.
This is the first book in the Christianity Is Basic series and serves as the foundation for the journey ahead. In Book Two: Abide, readers will move from understanding who Christ is to learning how to walk with Him daily through obedience, spiritual disciplines, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
The invitation has never changed.
Come to Jesus. Know Him. Love Him. Follow Him. Build your life on the only foundation that will stand forever.
