This rebuttal examines Steve Boyls' claim of having ventured into heaven, the supposed perceptions while on such a tour, and the implications and teachings that are found in the book from a Christian perspective to expose the problems with this book. It also provides pertinent information on some of the latest research that suggests out-of-body experiences (OBEs) and near-death experiences (NDEs) are most likely usually simulated environments created by the brain or mind with positive outcomes focused on the survival and/or psychological health of the human species. In other words, it discusses how such experiences are probably simply adaptive subjective experiences rather than objective genuine encounters with the spiritual world. Although the spiritual world certainly exists, these heaven tourism accounts in such stories are not genuine visits to the biblical heaven.
