What does it mean to say that Christ fulfills the Old Testament, without flattening its voice, bypassing its judgment, or reducing Scripture to allegory or prediction?
This book offers a disciplined work of biblical theology, approaching the Old Testament on its own terms before tracing how the New Testament later names its fulfillment in Christ. Rather than searching for hidden prophecies, it asks how Scripture itself defines the human problem, and why Christ must be who the New Testament claims Him to be if Genesis is telling the truth.
Genesis 1-11 forms the theological foundation of the Bible. These chapters address creation, human vocation, the fall, violence, death, judgment, and restraint. They do not solve these realities. They clarify them.
Creation is presented as ordered gift. Humanity remains God's image-bearer even under mortality. Violence spreads through history. Death reigns. Judgment restrains without annihilating. Unity is desired, but coercion is rejected. Together, these chapters establish the first grammar of redemption.
This volume shows how Old Testament Christology begins not with prediction, but with diagnosis. The New Testament does not override Genesis; it assumes its assessment of the world is accurate. Christ fulfills Genesis not by escaping creation or bypassing death, but by restoring what these early chapters leave unresolved.
