The author, a Hispanic American, who was born in the 1950s, and whose poetic works span decades writes in his own unique style. His long poems reflect the magical realism, gothic imagery, and emotional content that is so often a part of Hispanic cultural identity. After adventurous travels, and while embracing the best and worst that life's challenges bring the search for poetic fodder arrives, and fills the awaiting canvasses of blank sheets of paper with the passionate yearning for self-expression. Most of his poems are long because they are more memoir than spontaneous thoughts of inspiration. Fictional and nonfictional experiences are intermeshed. Countless poems were written while awakening from a dream state. The hidden meaning in some poems may only reveal themselves after some pondering while others may be explicit and the experience more compatible with your own. Strange, spiritual, romantic, thematic, reflective of nature, reminders of love lost, and hope found, the quest for eternity; these are the kinds of poems that you can expect when you peruse the many books written by the author. While the table of contents in this book offer only a glimpse into the author's dreams, soul, and emotions there is yet a deeper insight that awaits when you journey into each page, and take on the task of delving into your own reflections, interpretations, personal growth; this is where the true beauty of poetry lies, and why the value of poetic works remains unsurpassed by many endeavors!
