The protagonist of this book is the Little Prince, who comes from another planet. The story is narrated by a pilot, who tells of the various adventures the Little Prince experiences during his journey from his own planet to Earth. Through the childlike perspective of the Little Prince, the author reveals the emptiness, blindness, folly, and rigid dogmatism of adults. In simple, innocent language, he portrays the loneliness of human beings, their rootlessness, and their fate of wandering with the wind. At the same time, the book also expresses the author's criticism of money-driven relationships and his celebration of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Saint-Exupéry loved adventure throughout his life and was a pilot who dedicated his life to French aviation. While working for airlines, he opened several new flight routes. During World War II, he enlisted in the military. After France's defeat and occupation by Nazi Germany, he lived in exile in the United States, and later returned to his country to rejoin the armed forces. In 1944, he disappeared during a reconnaissance mission, becoming a legend.
