簡巧珍，音樂學者、音樂專欄作家、亞馬遜華文出版顧問/音樂主編。中國中央音樂學院音樂學博士，國立臺灣師範大學音樂研究所碩士，先後主修民族音樂學，歷史音樂學，現任教於國立臺灣藝術大學音樂系暨國樂研究所、東吳大學音樂系暨音樂研究所，並擔任澳門城市大學藝術學博士學位課程導師。
長期書寫臺灣作曲家以及臺灣音樂發展相關文著，近年擴及大陸音樂家生命史之撰寫以及兩岸音樂發展比較研究。經常受邀參與兩岸音樂學術會議，主講音樂專題講座、發表研究成果，主持並參與文化部、國家音樂廳、臺灣音樂館、國家文化藝術基金會、亞洲作曲家聯盟、以及大陸著名音樂院校委託之研究計畫，並為音樂雜誌、期刊、報刊撰寫樂評及系列性文章。
研究成果包含專書《二十世紀六Ｏ年代以來臺灣新音樂發展之軌跡》、《臺灣客籍作曲家》、《王沛綸――音樂辭書的先行者》、《蕭而化――孤芳眾賞一樂人》、《南管戲「陳三五娘――益春留傘」之音樂研究》，以及50位以上包含大陸、臺灣、澳門等地音樂家/作曲家生命史及作品研究之相關著作。
