Zhang Xiwu, Senior Engineer. He has long been engaged in the development and management of protected area systems such as national parks and nature reserves, as well as the conservation and management of wildlife. He formerly served as Director of the Department of Wildlife Conservation and Nature Reserve Management at the State Forestry Administration, and as Director of the Engineering Office for Wildlife Conservation and Nature Reserve Construction and Management.
Zhang Zhihe, originally from Zhejiang Province. Ph.D., Researcher. He is a member of the Decision-Making Advisory Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, a Global Promoter of Giant Panda Culture appointed by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and Deputy Director of the Chengdu Management Branch of the Giant Panda National Park. He has been engaged in giant panda conservation and scientific research for 35 years. He previously served as Director of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Secretary of the General Party Branch, President of the Sichuan Academy of Giant Panda Science, Director of the Giant Panda Breeding Technical Committee, Vice President of the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens, and Director of the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Endangered Animal Conservation Biology (jointly established by the province and the ministry), among other positions.
