Zhang Xiwu, Senior Engineer. He has long been engaged in the development and management of protected area systems such as national parks and nature reserves, as well as the conservation and management of wildlife. He formerly served as Director of the Department of Wildlife Conservation and Nature Reserve Management at the State Forestry Administration, and as Director of the Engineering Office for Wildlife Conservation and Nature Reserve Construction and Management.
Chang Xiuyun, originally from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. She formerly served as a First-Level Researcher and Professor-level Senior Engineer at the Wildlife Conservation and Management Station of the Shaanxi Provincial Forestry Department, where she worked on crested ibis conservation, research, and management for over 40 years. In 2022, she received the China Ecological Civilization Award - Outstanding Individual honor. She has also been bestowed with the title Princess of the Crested Ibis by the Japanese Ambassador to China, and has been featured as a special guest expert on CCTV's Distinguished Figures (Dajia) program.
