《光明论集》是一部契合现代的《古兰经》注释，篇幅恢宏，全著长达近七千页。全书以《古兰经》为依据，以理性为工具，针对现代社会问题，全面阐释了伊斯兰的基础，证明《古兰经》是永恒不落的精神太阳。
《光明论集》的第一部分，以独特的方式，有力地论证了生命终结后的复活。其论证方式之独特，行文之严密无与伦比。在他之前，即使是最伟大的学者也没有做过与之相似的论证。赛义德-努尔斯所采用的方法由三个层面构成：首先论证真主的存在，其次论证真主的美名和德性，然后在此基础上证明死后的复活。努尔斯并没有将这部杰作的著作权归属于自己，而是归功于《古兰经》，他说《光明论集》是《古兰经》真理绽放的光芒。
《光明论集》不同于传统的《古兰经》注释，它没有依次阐释每节经文降示的背景，也没有逐字逐句地解释每节经文表层的含义，而是从精神层面整体深入地阐释（mânawi tefsîr）《古兰经》所昭示的真理。不同的经注对《古兰经》的注释虽然各有侧重，但在《光明论集》中，阐释的重点集中在那些关于信仰真理的经文上。这些经文涉及真主的尊名、真主的德性、真主大能在宇宙中的体现、真主的存在与独一、死后复活、先知的使命、真主的前定、还有人类及其敬拜的职责等等。根据不同时代人类的理解能力和发展水平，赛义德-努尔斯诠释了《古兰经》如何剖析人性，并分析了相应时代人类所面临的问题。《光明论集》就是这个时代人们认识《古兰经》的导读，下面让我们从具体层面去了解《光明论集》。
