Seven Fountains. Hundreds of Streams. A vast exploration of the hidden mysteries of creation, the soul, and the spiritual worlds.
Chesed LeAvraham, the celebrated Kabbalistic work of Rabbi Avraham ben Mordechai Azulai, gathers an extraordinary body of mystical teaching rooted in the Book of Splendour and the traditions of the great Kabbalists. Arranged as seven symbolic Fountains flowing into numerous Streams, the work journeys through some of the deepest mysteries of Kabbalah: the Shekhinah and Her exile, the descent of angels, the Law and prayer, the holiness of the Land of Israel, the nature of the human body and soul, repentance, reward and punishment, the Garden of Eden and Hell, death, reincarnation, the spiritual powers governing the nations, and the unseen forces surrounding human existence.
Its later sections venture still further into the hidden worlds, examining the good inclination and evil inclination, spirits, demons, the shells of impurity, their origins and classifications, and the forces through which holiness and impurity operate within creation. Drawing heavily upon the Book of Zohar and the teachings of Moshe Cordovero, while also preserving material associated with Isaac Luria and other Kabbalists, Azulai presents a sweeping vision of humanity's place within a universe permeated by spiritual realities.
Now presented in English in a translation by Anthony Uyl, Chesed LeAvraham opens this remarkable Kabbalistic text to a new audience. From the mysteries of the soul and reincarnation to the Shekhinah, angels, demons, divine judgment, and the structure of the unseen worlds, this volume offers readers an extensive journey into one of the profound works of classical Jewish mysticism.
Also Included is a full index of angel and demons mention in the Chesed LeAvraham.
