Charlotte's Daughter Or The Three Orphans is a novel written by Susanna Rowson and published in 1794. It is a sequel to her earlier work Charlotte Temple. The story follows the lives of three orphans - Lucy, Emily, and Henry - who are taken in by Mr. Temple, the father of Charlotte Temple. Mr. Temple is now a wealthy man and he takes care of the children as if they were his own. However, the three orphans soon find themselves facing a number of challenges and obstacles as they navigate their way through life. Lucy falls in love with a young man named Augustus, but their relationship is threatened by his father's disapproval. Emily, on the other hand, is pursued by a wealthy suitor who is only interested in her money. Meanwhile, Henry struggles to find his place in the world and to come to terms with his past.
