Catalogue Of 4,810 Stars For The Epoch 1850 presents a meticulously compiled record of celestial observations made at the Royal Observatory, Cape of Good Hope, between 1849 and 1852. This historical catalog, authored by the Royal Observatory in collaboration with Thomas Maclear, Sir David Gill, and under the auspices of the Great Britain Admiralty, offers a detailed snapshot of the night sky as it appeared in the mid-19th century.
This catalog is an invaluable resource for historians of science, astronomers, and anyone interested in the history of celestial navigation. The catalog preserves vital astronomical data from a crucial period in the development of modern astronomy.
