The author's illustrations add to the book's charm. --Pam Williams, Minister of Education, Broadmoor Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Many years ago my daughter's cat had a litter of kitten under her bed. We could hear the soft purring of the mother cat as she lovingly cared for her babies. I was asked, What makes a cat purr, mother? I answered, Love, Lisa, you are hearing the sound of love. This book is a delightful and heartwarming tale of an abandoned cat. Follow Cat as she discovers that she isn't like the other cats. She doesn't make this funny rumbling sound. What must Cat do to find love? How will she find her purr?
